Housebound Library Service

Residents who are physically unable to visit their local library, either temporarily or permanently, are able to apply to have library items delivered to their house. The service is also available to live-in carers and to people whose partner, relative or friend who would normally drive them to the library is away on holiday or unavailable.

The service makes deliveries to each reader once a month, with members permitted to borrow up to 20 items at one time. We provide a wide range of books in normal print and large print, audio books, magazines and DVDs, as well as free downloadable e-books and e-audiobooks.

Residents who would like to join the service are encouraged to submit an application form at any of the our libraries. Visit memberships to download the application form.

Displays

The libraries welcome displays from schools, community groups and organisations.

Please contact staff at the relevant library to arrange a booking for your display.
