Membership, services and facilities

Membership

We have four diverse libraries in the City of Rockingham.Library card

Library membership is free and open to all members of the community.

Your library card gives you access to services, resources and facilities at all four branches.

Memberships are renewed annually to keep our database updated and ensure we have your personal details correct. Renewal can be in person or over the phone.

To join the library:

  • visit any of the City's libraries
  • provide photographic ID showing your current address or
  • join online to obtain a temporary membership which will give you access to the library catalogue to reserve items and then visit your local library to receive a membership card.

Children under the age of 18 will require a parent or guardian to attend the library with them to complete the membership.

Visitors to the City who are not library members are welcome to use the libraries and their collections but are not able to borrow.  A temporary membershipcan be supplied on production of ID showing your address which allows access to computer use and limited library loans.

Please note a membership card is required to use the WiFi at the Warnbro Community Library but the WiFi is accessible without a card at the other branches.

Borrowing

You will need to present your membership card in order to borrow items or to use the eLibrary facilities.
