Thank you for your interest in work experience with the City of Rockingham. As part of the City’s response to COVID-19, we are not taking on any work experience placements at the moment. Please keep an eye on our website. The expressions of interest will reopen again once it is determined possible to facilitate placements again.
Our work experience program is available to provide university, vocational (VET) and secondary school students the opportunity to gain invaluable on-the-job experience in relevant areas of study to them.
All work experience placements are unpaid and students can only be placed when, or if,
an opportunity in their area of study arises.
To apply for our work experience program you are required to read the Application Pack - Work Experience carefully to ensure our program will meet your course requirements. You can then apply online via the Expressions of Interest - Work Experience.
You must submit the following when completing your online application:
- Cover letter and resume
- Signed confidentiality agreement and parental/guardian consent form (for those under 18 years)
- Any official documentation from your school or educational institution, including all insurance paperwork.
You will be contacted via email within seven business days if a suitable placement be available.
Unfortunately due to the limited number of placements available at the City, we are unable to provide work trials, volunteer opportunities or return to work support.
