Aerial view of RockinghamAt its ordinary meeting on 23 April 2019, Council resolved to adopt (initiate) Amendment No.175 to Town Planning Scheme No.2 for the purpose of rezoning Lot 106 (No.569) Eighty Road, Baldivis from 'Rural' to 'Special Rural'.

​Plans and documents explaining the amendment are available below, and at our Administration Office at Civic Boulevard, Rockingham between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Proposed Child Care Premises - Baldivis

Children's toysWe have received a Development Assessment Panel (DAP) application seeking Development Approval for a Child Care Premises on Lot 726 (No.591) Eighty Road, Baldivis.

Specifically, the proposed development comprises:

  • A single storey child care premises (facility) on a portion of the subject site
  • The facility is proposed to provide care and early education for up to 92 children
  • The facility is proposed to operate from 6.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and will accommodate up to 18 staff
  • The facility will have 30 car parking bays
  • Development is accompanied by a Planning Report, Traffic Impact Assessment, Environmental Noise Assessment, Environmental Assessment, Bushfire Management Plan and Bushfire Emergency Evacuation Plan.

Proposed Maintenance Shed - Secret Harbour Golf Course

Aerial view of siteWe have received a development application to re-locate the golf course maintenance activities from the existing site (No.22 Clarkshill Street) to a position between the 13th and 14th fairways. 

Details of the development application include:

  • Re-location of the golf course maintenance activities from Lot 6008 (No.22) Clarkshill Road to the proposed location;
  • The clearing of approximately 1,800m2 of vegetation and soil to accommodate the proposed compound area, plus driveway access from the fairway of golf course hole 13 to the compound;
  • The proposed maintenance compound area measures 44m x 41m (1800m2), and the proposed maintenance shed 26m x 21m (756m2);
  • The wall height is proposed to be 5m above the finished ground level height, with a 6.85m ridge height;
  • Due to its location/topography, there will be excavation and filling required across the compound site area to produce a level site; and
  • The compound area will accommodate:
    • the proposed shed
    • five car parking spaces
    • vehicle wash-down area
    • sand storage
    • storage of machinery, tractors, mowers and trailers
    • storage of chemicals
    • light mechanic area and
    • storage of petrol.
