Youth Employment Program

Introducing YEP

Our Youth Employment Program (YEP) offers a three-year paid traineeship at the City for young people aged between 16 and 24 years. 

Run in partnership with Nudgeopens in a new window, the program specialises in traineeships and apprenticeships, to allow young people to access paid work and training opportunities that will provide on-the-job experience and become a stepping stone towards further education and formal employment, either with the City or elsewhere.

This investment in our community provides participants with access to paid employment and training opportunities (trade and tertiary) while building on-the-job experience in their chosen area. 

Launched in 2022, we are proud to say our fourth YEP cohort will commence in October 2025.
