Payment options

We understand that everyone has different circumstances and therefore we offer several ways to pay your rates. You can choose whichever option best suits you; the options and the corresponding amounts due are outlined on your rate notice.

Pay your rates online

There are three standard options:

  • Option 1: One annual instalment due on 16 August 2024.
  • Option 2: Two instalments due on 16 August 2024 and 16 December 2024.
  • Option 3: Four instalments due on 16 August 2024, 16 October 2024, 16 December 2024 and 17 February 2025.

Option 1

Ratepayers choosing Option 1 will go into the draw for our annual Rates Incentive Scheme which includes prizes to reward ratepayers for paying their rates in full on time.

Option 2 and 3

Options 2 and 3 incur an additional administration fee, and interest of 5.5%. This is calculated within the cost of the options as stated on your rate notice. This amount is included in the total amount payable. Pensioners are exempt from these costs.

For direct debit arrangement, please see the forms below.

To find out your account balance, please contact the Rates team on 9528 0333 or sign up to the City's secure online portal Rock Port where you can view the balance of your rates account and make a payment.
