• Infant lessons are offered for bubs from 6 months to 3.5 years.

  Angel Fish - 6 months to 15 months

  Held in our hydrotherapy pool, lessons are focused on parent education around swimming and water safety through play.

  Parent participation is required.

  Squid - 15 months to 2 years

  Held in our hydrotherapy pool, this 30-minute lesson will focus on learning through play, safety, verbal and physical triggers.

  Guppy - 2 years to 3.5 years

  Held in our hydrotherapy pool, this 30-minute lesson will focus on learning through play, safety around the water and independence.

  Parent participation is required.

  Starfish - 2 years to 3.5 years

  Held in our hydrotherapy pool for those confident swimmers who love to spend time under the water.

• Preschool lessons are offered for children from 3.5 years to 5 years.

  Blowfish - 3.5 years to 5 years

  Held in the beach area for those nervous beginners who don't like to put their face under the water.

  Parent participation is required.

  Turtle - 3.5 years to 5 years

  Held in our leisure pool for swimmers who are starting to get adventurous and are happy and confident to go under the water.

  Seahorse - 3.5 years to 5 years

  For the confident swimmer who can swim in deeper water without assistance.

  Dolphin - 3.5 years to 5 years

  For students who can effectively swim in a streamline position and float without assistance.

  Stage 1 - Beginner

  Stage 1 is about safe entry and exit from the water.

  Stage 2 - Water Discovery

  Stage 2 is about being pulled to safety and the development of the freestyle stroke.

  Stage 3 - Preliminary

  Stage 3 includes performing a survival sculling on your back float and learning freestyle breathing.

  Stage 4 - Water Awareness

  Stage 4 is about the importance of water safety and learning survival backstroke.

  Stage 5 - Water Sense

  Stage 5 develops an understanding of the elements of being water safe while extending your backstroke skills.

  Stage 6 - Junior

  Stage 6 means you can complete a competitive swimming dive as well as gain the ability to swim 50m freestyle.

  Stage 7 - Intermediate

  Stage 7 includes the skill of egg-beater kick used in water polo while extending swimming and survival abilities.

  Stage 8 - Water Wise

  Stage 8 develops good judgement in water safety while learning the skill of sidestroke.

  Stage 9 - Senior

  Stage 9 includes the skill of competitive tumble-turns and learning basic principles of resuscitation.

  Stage 10 - Junior Swim and Survive

  Stage 10 links the skills of swimming, diving and treading water needed when in open water.

  Having gained these skills, give surfing a try.

  Stage 11 - Swim and Survive

  Stage 11 includes the use of a personal flotation device while extending swimming and survival abilities.

  Stage 12 - Senior Swim and Survive

  Stage 12 includes what to do when escaping from a capsized boat while extending swimming and survival abilities.

  Stage 13 - Water Rescue

  Stage 13 introduces skills and knowledge of safe water rescue and survival.

• Aqua Jetty’s Junior Lifeguard program is an aquatic alternative for kids aged 8-15 years who don’t want the structure of swimming lessons. 

  All performances are assessed on an individual basis and awards are given in a number of areas such as leadership and teamwork, as well as lifesaving knowledge.

  Students must be comfortable swimming 25m.

• Aqua Jetty's Adult swimming lessons are designed for those nervous swimmers or those who have never swum before.

  Lessons are conducted in a safe and nurturing atmosphere with fully qualified staff to cater to your individual needs.
