Three children holding onto the edge of an outdoor swimming pool during a swim session.

The Aqua Jetty Swim School is aligned with the Royal Life Saving WA "Swim and Survive" program. The program caters for all ages from infants (six months and over) to school-aged students and adults, encouraging water safety awareness and swim technique development.

Austswim Recognised Swim Centre logo

All swim instructors are Austswim accredited or equivalent and have current first aid, CPR and working with children qualifications.

Baby classes are held in the indoor hydrotherapy pool with parents accompanying their child in the water; an ideal location for infants to enjoy the comfortable temperature and allowing greater focus on the lesson.

The scope of lessons allows children to develop at their own pace assisted by swim instructors. Each swimming level has a number of assessment outcomes, which when achieved allows the child to progress to the next stage.

All stages are held in specific pools based on the outcomes of each stage. Generally, as participants progress to the more advanced stages they are required to swim greater distances, moving from the leisure pool to the 25m indoor lap pool and then onto the 50m outdoor competition pool.

All classes operate for 30 minutes with non-competitive training extending out to 45 minutes. Class sizes are kept small to provide a high teacher to student ratio.

Aqua Jetty offers private lessons for students with special needs. Please contact the Swim School for more information 9591 0888.
