Windsurfing and kiteboarding

KiteboardingRockingham has some of the best windsurfing and kiteboarding in Western Australia and regularly hosts international competitions.

Of note is the ‘pond’, located in Safety Bay, which has one of the best flat water spots in the Perth metropolitan area. Because of the flat water and reliable sea breeze you will see some expert freestyle riders here doing tricks. If you are a beginner it is better to go outside the pond and onto the ocean side to practice all the fundamentals of kiteboarding and windsurfing.
