Local Emergency Management Arrangement (LEMA)

In accordance with Section 41 of the Emergency Management Act 2005, a local government is to ensure that emergency management arrangements are in place for that local government district.

Local Emergency Management Arrangements (LEMAs) define the community-centred plans that local governments and recovery partners will implement in response to a disaster that has impacted the local government area.
