City of Rockingham Mayor Lorna Buchan said the Sports Star Awards were a chance for the community to publicly recognise the people who make local sport thrive.

“The Sports Star Awards provide an important opportunity for clubs, families, teammates and community members to shine a spotlight on those who go above and beyond, whether through sporting performance, leadership, inclusion or longstanding service,” Mayor Buchan said.

“Behind every great sporting moment is a network of dedicated volunteers, coaches and support people, and these awards celebrate the commitment and passion that keep our local sporting community strong.”
