The Castaways Sculpture Awards, named after the discarded items found on local beaches, is an annual sculptural exhibition that celebrates innovation, sustainability and education across three distinct exhibitions: the Main Exhibition, the Maquette and Small Sculpture Exhibition and the Schools Exhibition.
Running from 24 October to 1 November, the Schools Exhibition showcases creativity and sustainability in action.
Featuring incredible works by local schools, this showcase highlights the next generation of artists exploring environmental awareness through repurposed materials. Castaways is a great opportunity to see how schools are using art to spark conversations about sustainability and caring for our environment.
Proudly supported by Fremantle Ports with a $27,250 prize pool, Castaways showcases the creativity and talent of Western Australian artists.
