Project summary

We are upgrading reserve lighting at various locations across the City to replace ageing infrastructure.

The new energy-efficient lighting will improve safety and connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists.

Lighting works are either underway or scheduled at the following locations.

We are committed to keeping the community informed throughout these projects. If there are any changes to the schedule, this page will be updated.

Location of works

The project involves removal of the existing aged infrastructure and the installation of new light poles, luminaires and cabling.

During the replacement works, access to parts of the grassed recreational and internal footpath areas will be restricted. 

Timeframe

The project is scheduled to commence May 2026 with the anticipated completion November 2026.

What to expect

  • Some car parks and grassed areas will be temporarily closed off
  • Pathways and roads nearby will stay open
  • Some paint markings or survey posts within Hillsborough Reserve
