We're planning drainage upgrades in the Port Kennedy Industrial Area during the 2026/2027 financial year. The proposed works aim to improve stormwater flow and to minimise water ponding in the area.
What's planned
The upgrades will include:
- Installing additional drainage infrastructure
- Improving existing drainage connections
- Reinstating verges with organic soil
- Restoring reticulation in accordance with the City’s standards
Impacted roads
Drainage works will take place along the following roads and their verges:
Helmshore Way
- Stockton Road
- Paxton Way
- Toynbee Way
- Dalloway Road
- Crowley Street

There may be minor disruptions during construction. Affected property and business owners will be notified of the construction schedule closer to the project’s start date.
Verges will be reinstated using organic soil, and reticulation will be restored to the City’s standards. Any crossovers damaged by the works will be replaced by the City.
