Project summary

Sand excavation works will take place at the Port Kennedy Boat Launching Facility from 18 to 20 August 2026, with temporary beach closures and limited ramp access during the works.

The City will be excavating sand from Port Kennedy Boat Ramp between 18 to 20 August 2026. The concrete boat ramps will remain open during the works, with one lane operational at a time whilst works are undertaken on the other. Please take care when using the facility during the excavation campaign.
 
 The beach immediately adjacent to the boat ramp will be temporary closed to the public during the works.
