Project summary

Traffic treatments are proposed along Holcombe Road in Warnbro to improve safety and traffic flow, and community feedback has been sought.

 

To keep our roads safe and efficient as our City grows, we’re planning upgrades to Holcombe Road in line with our Road Safety Action Plan. These improvements aim to reduce road incidents through targeted treatments.

We're seeking community feedback on the proposed traffic treatments and upgrades.

Proposed works

The proposed upgrades include a:

  • Raised platform at Bideford Street intersection

  • Raised platform at Barbrook Way intersection

  • Blister island between Cardinal Gardens and Dolton Place

Community Feedback

Community consultation on the proposed works closed on Thursday 12 February 2026.  Feedback received during this consultation is being considered and incorporated into the final designs where appropriate.

This section of Holcombe Road has a history of traffic incidents. The proposed treatments aim to improve safety by slowing traffic and improving visibility.

Pending consultation outcomes, works are expected to begin in the 2026/2027 financial year. Residents will be notified of the construction schedule closer to the start of the project.

If your driveway is impacted, the City will reinstate it at no cost to the property owner. Property access will be maintained throughout construction, with appropriate traffic management in place to assist residents as needed.
