Project summary

We're undertaking works to install new bollards along the Esplanade Foreshore, between Val Street and Samuel Street.

This project is designed to prevent ongoing unauthorised vehicle access to the verge and foreshore reserve, helping protect the area’s natural amenity and ensure a safer, more accessible public space.

Location: Esplanade Foreshore (Val Street to Samuel Street), Rockingham

Start Date: 20 April 2026

Estimated Duration: Approximately 2 weeks

Purpose

  • Protect the foreshore and grassed verge from vehicle damage
  • Improve safety and accessibility for path and reserve users
  • Support long-term preservation of the foreshore environment

What to expect during works

  • Temporary restrictions may apply to some sections of the grassed verge and reserve while installation is underway
  • Road and pathway access will remain open at all times with Traffic Management on site.
  • Works will be managed to minimise impacts on nearby residents, businesses, and foreshore visitors.
