This First Aid Training for Teens gives young people the essential skills to respond in an emergency. Participants will learn how to recognise common injuries, respond to accidents, and provide basic first aid while waiting for help. Through practical, hands-on activities, teens will build confidence, learn lifesaving skills and discover how they can make a difference when it matters most.
This is a free event for ages 12 - 16.
Bookings are essential and will open Friday 2 October 2026.
Children under the age of 11 years must be supervised by a parent/guardian at all times while in a City of Rockingham library and parents/guardians must stay on the Library premises for the duration of this workshop. You may join your child in the workshop if you prefer.

What to wear
This is non-accredited training and there are no formal assessments. However, the training may include practical activities, scenarios and role plays to support learning.
Please ensure students wear suitable and comfortable clothing. First aid courses may involve practicing CPR which is generally demonstrated on manikins placed on the floor - students may wish to bring a towel or similar to support the knees.
