Crisis to Calm is a new resilience program for young people ages 12-16 who live in communities affected by disasters.
Held during Thursday Hangout sessions at the Rockingham Youth Centre, the six-module program is designed to help young people develop healthy coping skills, build social connections and feel more prepared for future challenges.
- Learn practical tools to manage stress and emotions.
- Connect with other young people who have had similar experiences.
- Be involved in creating a project for your community.
- Help shape a program that could support other young people in the future.
The sessions are fun, interesting and designed to be a safe space to share and learn. Participants will also have the opportunity to design and deliver a creative community project with other young people in the program.
