Since 2008, the City of Rockingham has been a proud partner of Act Belong Commit, a world-first mental health promotion campaign that encourages people to take simple steps to maintain and improve their mental wellbeing.

The campaign helps strengthen resilience, build social connections and promote positive mental health across the community. Its message is based on three simple actions:

  • Act: Keep mentally, physically and socially active.
  • Belong: Create and maintain social connections, join groups and take part in community life.
  • Commit: Take up a cause, volunteer, commit to something that brings meaning and purpose to your life.

Getting involved in local activities, community groups, volunteering and events can have a positive impact on mental wellbeing.

The City's Community Development team can also assist community groups and organisations to explore opportunities for Healthway funding to deliver activities and events that promote the Act Belong Commit message.
