A first-time sculptor inspired by her canine’s heroic act has captured the hearts of voters, becoming one of three winners of the Fremantle Ports People’s Choice Awards at this year’s Castaways Sculpture Awards.
During the nine-day exhibition at Rockingham Foreshore, Churchill Park and the Rockingham Arts Centre, visitors had the chance to cast a vote for their favourite pieces in the $1,000 Main Exhibition, $500 Maquette and Small Sculpture Exhibition, and $250 School Exhibition.
