Date01 May 2025 Nominations are now open for the City of Rockingham 2025 Sports Star Awards, with a cash prize pool of $7,500 up for grabs this year.
The annual awards recognise and celebrate the achievements and contributions of local sportspeople and volunteers of all levels and abilities.
“This year we’ve got an exciting line-up of speakers; TV and radio presenter Amberley Lobo as MC and five-time basketball Paralympian Brad Ness as guest speaker. We are pleased to welcome back the Sound Telegraph who continues to support the sporting community of Rockingham through sponsorship of the Sports Star Awards,” City of Rockingham Mayor Deb Hamblin said.

- Junior Sports Star of the Year
- Senior Sports Star of the Year
- Masters Sports Star of the Year
- Keren Ugle (Senior) Indigenous Sports Star of the Year
- Sports Person of the Year with Disability
- Junior Volunteer of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Team of the Year
- Champion Club of the Year
- Club Governance Award
- John Brown Lifetime Achievement Memorial Award
- Inclusion Program or Event of the Year
The City of Rockingham invites nominations in all categories, recognising the outstanding achievements and contributions of our local sporting community, both on and off the field.
This year, online nominations are encouraged. Nominations close at 4pm on Monday, 30 June.
