Join RYC and Te Toka Tū Moana as we come together to celebrate Matariki, a time of reflection, remembrance, and new beginnings.
Take part in a rich and engaging program that explores the significance of the Matariki stars and the stories behind them. Enjoy a variety of hands-on cultural activities, including learning about traditional harvesting practices, interactive games, songs, and creative experiences that bring the meaning of Matariki to life.
This is a welcoming and inclusive event for young people and the wider community to connect, learn, and celebrate together while deepening understanding of this important cultural occasion.
Food will be provided at this celebration.
