The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has further extended the Prohibited Burning Period to Sunday 5 May 2024. No Permits to Burn will be issued during this time. All enquiries to 9528 0333.

Christmas Lights Launch

  • Date: Friday 8 December 2023

  • Location: Churchill Park, Rockingham Foreshore

Rockingham Foreshore lit up at the official launch of the City’s Christmas lights display.

There was lots of festive fun for the whole family, including a visit from Santa, on-stage entertainment and roaming characters, children’s craft activities, a synthetic ice rink, a sensory-friendly chill-out zone, a snow pit, food vendors and the turning on of the Christmas lights at 8pm.

Attendees were also able to enjoy time with Santa and at the ice rink beyond the event, on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December.

New Year's Eve

  • Time: 5pm – 12am
  • Location: Churchill Park, Rockingham Foreshore

We said farewell to 2023 and celebrated the New Year in style. 

WA Rockers Birds of Tokyo headlined our event, taking the stage between the spectacular 9pm and midnight fireworks.

There was also performances by Big Horn Productions and local acts, roaming entertainment, amusement rides, face painting, a glitter station, children's activities, a sensory-friendly chill-out zone and food vendors.

Celebrate Australia Day in Rockingham

We celebrated our nation with a special event for the whole community at the City's iconic Rockingham Foreshore.

Featuring a fireworks display, live music, the Bluey and Bingo Live Interactive Experience, roaming entertainment, children's activities, a sensory-friendly chill-out zone and food vendors, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Symphony on the Green

  • Date: Saturday 17 February 2024
  • Time: 5.30pm – 9pm
  • Location: Village Green, Flinders Lane, Rockingham

The West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO), conductor Jen Winley, and vocalists Solomon Pitt and Melissa Erpen presented a magical musical evening for the whole family at the Village Green. 

Filled with all your favourites from the stage and screen, plus more musical surprises, performed by WASO and superstar soloists.
