Improving Access to our Website

The City has an ongoing website accessibility audit program and we are constantly making improvements to the site. We will regularly survey the community about website accessibility.

To be included in the next survey register for RockPort and ensure you have selected Disability Access and Inclusion under "My Interests".

Disability Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee

The Disability Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee represents the community by providing advice/support to Council with regards to the implementation of the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan and Strategy and to address disability access and inclusion issues within the boundaries of the City of Rockingham.

Let’s Talk

Let’s Talk, the Rockingham Disability Network, meets regularly to provide local service providers with an opportunity to share information, build networks and establish collaborative partnerships to promote disability access and inclusion in the Rockingham area.

International Day of People with DisabilityInternational Day for People with Disabilities

International Day of People with Disability is celebrated each year. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability, and celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with disability.

Each year the City of Rockingham works with the community to present an event for this important day of celebration. For more information about this year's event please see the City's What's On calendar.

Celebrate Ability

Celebrate Ability is a free community event being held on Thursday 29 November 2018 to celebrate International Day of People with Disability.

The event will be held at the Gary Holland Community Centre, 19 Kent Street, Rockingham, from 10.30am to 1.30pm, and will provide community members of all abilities with an opportunity to take part in a range of fun activities and enjoy live entertainment.
