Residential verge waste collection

Residential Verge Collection Services

During the financial year, residential properties are provided with a bulk verge collection of:

  • One general waste and metals collection – maximum of two cubic metres
  • Two green waste verge collections – maximum of three cubic metres.

Waste must be placed onto the resident's own verge not more than the weekend prior to the scheduled date for the area.

To ensure maximum recycling, please ensure that during the general waste verge collection items are separated into three piles: fridges and white goods, metals and other junk. The green waste verge collections are scheduled prior to summer and winter so that properties can be prepared for the fire and storm seasons.

For dates and guidelines see the flyer:

Non-conforming verge collection

Guidelines for the verge collection should be followed to ensure an efficient collection service. If verge rubbish does not comply with regulations it will not be collected. Notification may be given by City Officers.

It is the responsibility of the resident or property owner to make alternative arrangements for disposal if regulations are not met. Tip passes can be used to drop items to the Millar Road Landfill Facility, Baldivis. All metal objects and other items may be accepted at the Millar Road Recycling Facility free of charge. See Millar Road Landfill Facility.
