Outdoor gym equipment

Outdoor gym equipment in the park.

The City of Rockingham has several purpose-built outdoor gym equipment locations that are free to use and available all year round.

These gyms are located at:

  • City Park, Rockingham - three stations spread around the lake with two or three different exercises at each station.
  • Safety Bay Foreshore near Malibu Road roundabout - consists mainly of fixed equipment in the one location.
  • Arcadia Drive, Safety Bay - three stations with four pieces of equipment at two stations and the third station is designed for stretching.
  • Lions Park, Shoalwater - two state-of-the-art fitness stations with five pieces of equipment at both stations.
  • Ennis Avenue Reserve, Hillman - four stations with two pieces of equipment at each station.
  • Stillwater Drive, Baldivis - three fixed equipment pieces in the one location.
  • Tranby Reserve, Baldivis - six fixed equipment pieces along the perimeter of the oval.
  • Baldivis Park, Baldivis - two stations with two pieces of equipment at each station.
  • Harmony Park, Singleton - three stations spread around the lake with three different exercises at each station.

Walking groups

There are a range of free walking groups within Rockingham at a variety of locations.

Rockingham parkrun

  • Every Saturday at 8am
  • Starts at Churchill Park, Rockingham Foreshore
  • 5km run.

  • Starts at Tamworth Wetlands, corner Safety Bay Road and Nairn Drive, Baldivis

Community Breakfast Ride

Each year the City holds a Community Breakfast Ride in March to celebrate Bike Week.

The Community Breakfast Bike Ride takes place along the stunning Rockingham coastline, starting at Long Point, Port Kennedy. The event includes three cycle distances: a 5km smooth and easy ride, a challenging 11km ride and an extra challenge of 19km. Riders check-in from 8am with the first wave taking off at 8.30am. 
All three routes head out along the Rockingham coast shared path starting and finishing at Long Point, Port Kennedy.
5km riders turn around at Cote D'Azur gardens.
11km riders turn around using Fendham Street.
19km riders turn around near the Safety Bay Yacht club.

Following the ride, everyone enjoys a free breakfast, free bike maintenance checks and children's activities including a bouncy castle, face painting, giant games, prizes and giveaways.

Registrations for the Community Breakfast Ride are essential. Please visit this page in February 2019  when a link will be available for registrations. We look forward to seeing you.

Rockingham Summer Parks Challenge


This summer the City is challenging children under the age of 12 to complete the Rockingham Summer Parks Challenge during the month of January.  Explore the various Rockingham parks and playgrounds, answer a checkpoint question, and complete an outdoor challenge for the chance to win a prize.

Download your Summer Parks Challenge passport below, or pick up a hard copy from one of the City of Rockingham libraries from Monday 17 December 2018. To be eligible for a prize you must visit a minimum of five parks, and hand in the last page of the Passport to the City of Rockingham Administration Building by 4.30pm on Friday 1 February 2019.  Prizes include experience passes from Rockingham Wild Encounters; a brand new bicycle from KD cycles, and more.
