The City of Rockingham has generous training and development opportunities and we encourage professional development for our employees. The City has an excellent annual corporate and safety training calendar as well as study leave and reimbursement options of tertiary and vocational education.

The City of Rockingham offers salaries and wages in comparison to other local authorities and is dedicated to providing employees with generous pay increase in accordance with our Enterprise Agreements. The City also has an attractive superannuation co-contribution scheme, which can include up to 14% contribution.

The City is committed to providing its employees with a safe and healthy workplace and has implemented the Employee Health and Wellbeing Plan. Current initiatives include:

Our current provider Converge International, provides counselling and support to all employees and their immediate family members and is a completely free and confidential service to discuss any work or personal issues that are an inevitable part of life.
