The City is inviting the community to share their vision for the future as we review our Strategic Community Plan (SCP) to develop a new plan that will shape the future of Rockingham. The SCP is the overarching plan to guide our City over the next 10 years. It shapes our planning and delivery of what matters the most to you in the long-term, which is why we need your input.
During the review, we're inviting you to share your ideas and vision so we can ensure the community's priorities are accurately represented. This is your chance to make your mark on this extraordinary place we all love.

What is a Strategic Community Plan?
The SCP is the product of a long and broad engagement with people from all walks of life from all sections of our community. The Strategic Community Plan establishes the community's vision for the local government's future, including aspirations and service expectations which drives the development of our other plans, resourcing and strategies. Our Strategic Community Plan will ultimately be a driving force for our other planning.
Why are you undertaking this review?
The Local Government Act 1995 requires local governments to conduct a full review of their Strategic Community Plan every four years.
The City's current Strategic Community Plan was endorsed by Council in 2018. A lot has happened since then driven by our last SCP, including:
- Rockingham Beach Foreshore revitalisation
- Baldivis District Sporting Complex
- Rediscover Rockingham campaign
- Youth Centre
