The Business Assistance Centre has a guide for preparing for the impact of coronavirus on your small business. It has also prepared responses to the most frequently asked questions coming from the business community.

Free business advice

The City partnered with Business Foundations to deliver two programs consisting of complimentary one-on-one business advisory sessions to local businesses. Both the Emergency Business Advice sessions and the Rockingham Business Rebound Program provided local small businesses with free, personalised advice to assist in their COVID-19 recoveries. 

Small Business Workshops

The Small Business Development Corporation WA is delivering a range of free-of-charge, online, practical workshops to support WA small businesses enhance their skills. Workshop topics are suitable for every level of business including start-ups, and are drawn from the following areas:

  • business skills
  • digital skills
  • financial management
  • interpersonal skills
  • sales and marketing
  • strategy and risk
  • tendering and contracts.

Buy Local

The City has launched a Buy Local campaign to support local business by encouraging the community to shop locally. You can read more about it and access resources at Buy Local.

Industrial land

The construction of Alloy Avenue in the Rockingham Industry Zone by the State Government will unlock a further 73.5 hectares of strategically located industrial land that has the potential of supporting more than 400 Western Australian jobs.

Alloy Avenue has opened up three land parcels zoned as strategic industrial, providing new opportunities for businesses to get established in downstream processing and other heavy activities within the Western Trade Coast.

In the nearby Clipper Precinct, nine fully serviced general industrial lots have also been released for pre-sale.
