Australia Day Celebrations at Rockingham Beach Foreshore

Celebrate Australia Day with great entertainment and fireworks at the Rockingham Beach Foreshore on Monday 26 January starting at 5pm and finishing with a bang at 8.45pm.

This free-entry, non-ticketed event offers something for everyone to enjoy, including a fireworks display at 8.30pm, family friendly stage performances headlined by the one and only Peppa Pig, live music from six-piece band SWITCH and local acts, roaming entertainment, kids’ activities, amusement rides, food vendors and more.

On the morning of Australia Day the City of Rockingham’s Community Citizen of the Year Awards will be presented at the Gary Holland Community Centre, and then 116 people will officially become Australian Citizens.  

Mayor Lorna Buchan said: “Australia Day is a chance for everyone to come together and celebrate what makes our country and community special. I’m looking forward to seeing lots of people coming to the Rockingham Beach foreshore to enjoy an evening of free entertainment at one of our most beautiful locations.”

There will be limited additional parking available at the Village Green, and additional Transperth services will be running on route 555 until 9.30pm. 

Celebrate Australia Day is assisted by the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council, and is part of the City’s Summer Series of free-entry, family-friendly events which connect the community in fun, outdoor activities during summer. Visitors are encouraged not to smoke, vape or drink alcohol.
