Symphony on the Green Continues to Delight

Date22 February 2021

The Village Green in Rockingham played host to a range of musical classics on Saturday 20 February 2021, as the City of Rockingham hosted its fifth annual Symphony on the Green concert.

The audience was entertained by the Perth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Elise Chong, with a number of iconic musical pieces.

Concertgoers were able to enjoy a variety of film tunes, classic anthems and iconic orchestral pieces throughout the night, while children also had the opportunity to join in a fun sing-along preshow prior to the main event.

City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels thanked the community for making Symphony on the Green a major success once again.

“Symphony on the Green has grown to become one of the City’s most popular events, and the City was delighted to see visitors from far and wide take advantage of the opportunity to come and rediscover Rockingham with a spectacular musical concert under the stars,” Mayor Sammels said.

The Perth Symphony Orchestra does a fantastic job of providing tracks that suit a variety of musical tastes. It was great to see visitors checking in to the event in line with the State’s contact tracing requirements and we hope all concertgoers had an enjoyable evening.
