Round one of the City of Rockingham’s Community Grants Program (CGP) is now open for applications, with incorporated not-for-profit organisations or those limited by guarantee, such as community groups and clubs, encouraged to apply.

Grants are available across a variety of categories and include:

  • Major Grant applications between $3,001 and $10,000.
  • Major Event Sponsorship applications up to $20,000 each year for up to three years.
  • Community Infrastructure Grants: Infrastructure Planning applications up to $20,000 and Infrastructure Capital applications up to $50,000.

City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged local groups to apply in the first round of funding for 2021.

“A key aspiration in the City’s Strategic Community Plan is growing and nurturing community connectedness, and the CGP plays a key part in helping to bring this aspiration to fruition,” Mayor Sammels said.

This is achieved through the financial assistance that the City provides to groups and individuals that build capacity in our community. Those that enhance youth development and volunteering, in addition to delivering sustainable, accessible and demonstrated social, environmental and economic benefits, are eligible to apply.

Applications for round one of the CGP close on Friday 7 May 2021. Outcomes from the first round will be confirmed by the end of July 2021.
