Proposal
The City has received an application seeking Development Approval for a proposed Service Station at the Parkland Heights Neighbourhood Centre.
Details of the proposal are summarised as follows:
- A 200 m2 '7-Eleven' service station and convenience store building, located on the corner of Nairn Drive and Furnivall Parade
- Associated canopy structure with three bowser tanks comprising six refuelling outlets as well as underground tanks and filling point
- Various signage including two 7 m high 'monolith' signs, adjacent to Furnivall Parade and on Nairn Drive
- 21 on-site car parking spaces, comprising one accessible bay and adjacent shared bay, 14 standard spaces and six refuelling/service bays
- A 'left-in' slip lane from Nairn Drive into the service station
- Operating hours for the proposed development will be 24 hours, seven days a week (24/7), and
- The proposal includes both 'VR1' and 'VR2' fuel vapour reduction systems as outlined in the accompanying 'Emissions Impact Assessment'.

Please note, the City of Rockingham is not the decision-maker for this application which will instead be determined by the Metro Outer Development Assessment Panel (MODAP).
The City will provide a recommendation to the MODAP through a Responsible Authority Report (RAR), endorsed by Council.
As part of preparing the City’s Report’s to Council and MODAP, the City are seeking your comments on the proposal. Your comments will be included within the RAR to ensure that the community’s views have the opportunity to form part of the MODAP’s consideration of the proposal.
These meetings are open to public and all submissioners will be notified of dates at which the matter will be considered by Council and MODAP.
