Proposal
We have received an application seeking approval for a multiple dwelling development at No.7 McNicholl Street, Rockingham.
The proposal details are as follows:
- The applicant is seeking development approval to construct two apartment complexes, each four storeys in height
- the apartment complexes will contain a total of 167 multiple dwellings
- the dwelling types include a range from one bedroom, one bathroom to three bedroom, two bathroom units, with the majority being two bedroom, two bathroom units
- the proposal includes private open space areas and areas of landscaping through the site
- vehicle access to the site is proposed via Betano Road
- pedestrian access is proposed via footpaths from Marks Place, Louise Street, Market Street and Betano Road
- a total of 234 car bays are proposed, as well as motorcycle/scooter bays and bicycle parking.
Please note, the City of Rockingham (i.e. the Council) is not the decision-maker for this application which will instead be determined by the Metro Outer Development Assessment Panel (MODAP).
The City will provide a recommendation to the MODAP through a Responsible Authority Report.
As part of preparing the City's Report's to MODAP, we are seeking your comments on the proposal. Your comments will be included within the RAR to ensure that the community’s views have the opportunity to form part of the MODAP’s consideration of the proposal.
The MODAP meeting is open to public and all submissioners will be notified of the date at which the matter will be considered by the MODAP.”
