We are making some road modifications to the northbound and eastbound approaches to the Warnbro Sound Ave/Port Kennedy Drive roundabout to improve road safety.
We are adding curves to the road before the roundabout, known as pre-deflections. These modifications will be constructed on the northbound and eastbound approaches to the roundabout. This will encourage traffic to slow down before entering the roundabout and assist with safer movement through the roundabout.
Construction of the pre-deflections is scheduled to start on 26 June. Appropriate traffic management will be in place during the works, which will include single lane closures and speed reductions through the worksite. All other traffic travelling through the roundabout will not be affected by the lane closures, but speed reductions will be in place.
The project is anticipated to be finished by September 2023.
Road profiling and asphalt works are required to be undertaken as night works and are scheduled for Thursday 20 July to Saturday 22 July 2023 (inclusive). The full road closure will take place on the northbound and eastbound approaches to the roundabout between 11pm and 4.30am. Detours signs will be in place during the closure.
