Scope of works
The upgrade will include:
- Median island modification
- Parking bay modifications
- Footpath modifications
- Line marking and signage installations
- Verge and kerb adjustments to accomodate new design geometry
Construction and formalisation process
Once construction of the crossing is complete, MRWA will carry out formalisation works, including line marking, bollards and signage. During this period, the crossing will be secured and barricaded to prevent use by school children.
Once MRWA has completed their works and after inspection by relevant authorities, the crossing will be opened for use under the supervision of traffic wardens.

The project us currently scheduled for delivery in the April 2026 school holidays.
Traffic management
- Temporary traffic adjustments: Lane closures and reduced speeds may occur during certain phases of construction.
- Traffic management: Professional traffic management will be in place to assist road users and ensure safety throughout the construction period.
