Project summary

To address stormwater issues mainly at Safety Bay Road and Bent Street the City is planning to upgrade the drainage infrastructure in the 2026/2027 financial year. Community feedback has been requested on the proposed works.

What's planned

The works include installing additional drainage infrastructure such as soakwells, grated pits, side entry pits, and junction pits to divert stormwater flow and minimise water ponding. Road and verge areas will be reinstated to City standards.

There may be minor disruptions to property access during construction. Residents will be notified of the dates before the project commences.
