Summer Parks Challenge

Summer Parks Challenge

About the Challenge

Get outdoors these school holidays and complete the Rockingham Summer Parks Challenge.

The City invites families with children aged 12 years and under to gather a group of friends and/or family members and explore selected Rockingham parks to complete a series of checkpoint questions and outdoor challenges.

How to participate

To participate, download your Rockingham Summer Parks Challenge passport below or collect one from either the City’s Administration Building located on Civic Boulevard, Mike Barnett Sports Complex, Safety Bay Library, Warnbro Library or Mary Davies Library and Community Centre.

Once you have completed five challenges, simply return your completed passport to the City of Rockingham via one of the above locations for a chance to win a prize.     The challenge will be open from 1 January to 31 January 2020. Please return your completed passports by 4pm on Wednesday 12 February 2020.

The City would like to thank the Cancer Council WA for its sun smart messages and support. The Cancer Council WA encourages participants to stay safe in the sun while enjoying the Rockingham Summer Parks Challenge. Remember to use a combination of Slip Slop Slap Seek and Slide. That means slipping on sun protective clothing, slopping on sunscreen, slapping on a broad-brimmed or bucket hat, seeking shade and sliding on sunglasses.  For more information about sun protection and UV radiation, see myUV.
