Are you a birdwatcher familiar with birds of the area or someone who just wants to reconnect with natural ecosystems? This special dawn activity will allow us to slow down and spend time with the soundscape to gain a deeper sense of how ecosystems ‘sound’ and what this might tell us about individual animals and their interactions with the communities they live in. After listening to the early morning calls and sounds, rejoin the group for a guided reflection on the significance of nonhuman world around us. No matter what your level of experience, extended listening expands awareness, relaxes the body and brings together the science and art of being connected to places. This workshop will include walking and may include sitting on the ground. However, with prior notice we will endeavour to adapt to the circumstances of each individual.
Bring: camera/smart phone, binoculars (where possible), enclosed shoes, insect repellent, water bottle, clothes to suit the weather: raincoat or hat and sun cream.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time.
