Volunteering Involving Organisations
Volunteer Recognition Evening
The Volunteer Recognition Evening event is held annually during National Volunteer Week in May. The event aims to recognise and celebrate dedicated volunteers who give their time, passion and expertise to our community. The City recognises and appreciates the commitment and hard work that our volunteers contribute to making our community stronger, which has been particularly evident during COVID-19.
Rockingham community groups, not-for-profit organisations, sporting clubs and any other organisations working with volunteers were invited to nominate one volunteer worthy of recognition. Nominations closed Tuesday 6 April.
We provide ongoing training opportunities for volunteer involving organisations (VIOs) located within the City on various topics including governance, volunteer management and skill development. This training is available to all community groups, incorporated and non-incorporated organisations and clubs, including sporting clubs.
To assist your organisation with upskilling and development, we are offering a range of free professional development opportunities. So, if you are a not-for-profit, community group, a sporting club or just simply work with volunteers, you are invited to attend any (or all) of these workshops. Find out all the details in the flyer below.
Places are limited and registrations are essential. To register, please contact the City on 9528 0333 or firstname.lastname@example.org
