Ward Boundaries and Councillor Representation Review

Background

The last review of the ward boundaries and Councillor representation in the City of Rockingham was completed in December 2012.

The City is now holding another review and is seeking submissions from the community. A Discussion Paper has been developed to assist you in considering options and ideas as well as clarifying factors that will form part of the review. The options presented are a few of the possible options and scenarios that are open to the City to consider.

The Discussion Paper outlines six options, and provides an overview of each scenario assessed against the following criteria:

  • Community of interest
  • Physical and topographic features
  • Demographic trends
  • Economic factors
  • Ratio of Councillors to electors in the various wards.

The Discussion Paper is available to download below. Hard copies may be inspected at the City of Rockingham Administration Building and libraries during normal office hours.
