Proposed Change in Time Restriction

Background

You are invited to provide feedback on the proposed change in restriction (time limit parking) on Harrison Street Rockingham. This proposed change will only affect a total of one parking stall.

This proposal aims to provide a fast and convenient pick up and drop off point for visitors to the Rockingham foreshore. The proposed change would result in the parking time limit on the one parking stall reducing from the current 30 minutes to 5 minutes. The change in restriction will have very minimal impact on the parking options that are already available in the surrounding area.

The parking bay and surrounding area is currently under construction as part of stage one of the Rockingham Beach Foreshore Revitalisation, but the proposed change is expected to apply from November when the roadworks go into recess over the Christmas break until March. Following this community consultation, the proposal will be put to Council for a resolution.

Please refer to the aerial map below for specific location details.
