Concept Plan

The City has developed a concept plan for the new Port Kennedy Skate Park, and is seeking feedback on the design. The existing skate park on Veteran’s Memorial Reserve will be demolished, and the new one built in the same location.

The new skate park is designed with all skill levels in mind, with enough space to watch, practice and participate in clinics and competitions. The concept includes bowl, plaza and flow zones, plus a street skate/beginner path and half-court basketball. Supporting infrastructure such as drink fountains, shelters, and seating also form part of the project.  More information about the project can be found in the Information Sheet.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.
