Draft Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2022
The City of Rockingham’s Strategic Community Plan 2015 – 2025 identifies that one of the key aspirations for the future is to create a strong community. A strong and healthy community is one where the people living within it come together to make life better for themselves and each other; a community where individuals feel well connected and satisfied with their overall quality of life.
Quality of life refers to the general wellbeing of a person or society, defined in terms of health and happiness rather than wealth. The City is committed to improving the quality of life within the local area through building strong partnerships, delivering programs, services and events, and providing vital infrastructure and places.
To address health and wellbeing the City, in consultation with the community, has prepared the draft Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2022.
The vision of the strategy is to support the development of a healthy community, encouraging healthy lifestyles, physical activity and social engagement.
