Singleton Sports and Community Centre
The site is located on Cavender Street, Singleton and is utilised by various community groups including tennis, bowls, cricket, soccer and AFL.
This project is funded by the City of Rockingham (developer contribution scheme), with support from the Department of Sport and Recreation.
Scope of works
The existing community hall is being redeveloped and extended and will have the following rooms:
main hall, meeting room, servery kitchen (for community hall), male toilets, female toilets, universal access toilet (including adult change table), umpires' room, first aid room, universal access toilet (external access), home changing room, away changing room, IT room, office, seven store rooms, club hall, kitchen (for club hall) and bar/servery (for club hall).
The old Singleton Hall is going to be demolished towards the end of the project to allow for access and parking to the new building.
Construction began on the Singleton Sports and Community Centre in February 2016. Phase 1 of the project including the building construction works has been completed. Phase 2 of the project is currently underway, including demolition and landscaping works, due to be completed July 2017.
