Safety Bay Road Principal Shared Path
Scope of Works
The purpose of this project was to construct a 2.5m wide principal shared path for pedestrians and cyclists. The main aspects of the project were site clearing, earthworks, construction of retaining walls, fences, pavement construction, asphalt, relocation and protection of existing services, and installation of signs and road markings.
The principal shared path is located along the southern side of Safety Bay Road between Nairn Drive and Warnbro Train Station. Preservation of trees and vegetation was paramount during construction works.

The project commenced in November 2015 and was completed in early May 2017. The path was officially opened on the 30 June 2017 by Mark McGowan, Premier Western Australia, Reece Whitby, Member for Baldivis and Barry Sammels, Mayor City of Rockingham.
