General conditions of tendering
If you are considering submitting a formal tender, it is recommend you read the information guide which has been developed to assist quoters and tenderers understand how the City conducts a tender or quote, and what process needs to be followed to ensure your submission is compliant.
How to submit a tender
All conditions relating to the submission of a quote or tender are included in the Request for Quote or Tender documentation which is made available when inquiring about a current quote or tender.
The submission of tenders via facsimile or electronic mail will not be accepted.
The City, together with Business Foundations, will present a free workshop to provide information to businesses on tendering for contracts with the City of Rockingham.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday 6 June from 7.30am to 8.30am at the Gary Holland Community Centre, 19 Kent Street, Rockingham.
It is important to understand that the City has a number of legislative requirements that restrict how we tender out for the purchase of goods and services.
This workshop will outline the provisions for tendering, including:
- some background about legislative requirements
- how the City conducts its tender process
- a summary of potential tenders during the next financial year.

Advertising of tenders
All publicly invited tenders are advertised in the Local Government Tenders section of Saturday or Wednesday edition of The West Australian newspaper.
The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.
Canvassing of the Mayor or Councillors will result in automatic disqualification.
