This free community event will be held from 10am to 2pm at the Mike Barnett Sports Complex, corner of Dixon Road and Goddard Street, Rockingham.
Mayor Barry Sammels said with over 130 stalls from a wide range of community groups, service providers, organisations, businesses, and state and local departments, seniors and carers would have access to a huge variety of information on the services, activities and opportunities available to them.
The expo will include four information sessions: Good Mental Health and Preventing Isolation (Australian Red Cross); Overview on Care Packages (Kincare and Silver Chain); Mindfulness, Breathing and Gentle Movements; and Scams Information (Seniors Recreation Council).
A small collection of vintage cars will also be on display.
A number of transport options to get to and from the Seniors and Carers Expo are available:
Car parking: Free parking is available at the venue in designated areas. Additional parking is available off Dowling Street on Dixon Road Reserve. A free shuttle service will be available from the reserve to the venue.
Assisted transport: for collection from home, contact Care Options on 9550 7888 before 29 September.
Public transport: catch the 548, 549, 551 or 555 buses. The closest train station is Rockingham, then catch the 555 bus. For more information, contact Transperth on 13 62 13.
