Rockingham Lights Up for Christmas

Join Mayor Barry Sammels as he switches on the City of Rockingham’s annual Christmas Lights Display at the Peace Pavilion, Rockingham Foreshore on Saturday 3 December.

The Christmas Lights Display opening will begin with a performance by the Red Hat Choir from 6.30pm, along with appearances by Santa and the White Alight illuminated stilt-walkers. There will also be face painting for the children. The Christmas Lights Display will be turned on by Mayor Sammels at approximately 7.40pm.People watching the 2015 Christmas Lights Display
 
“The event is a great way to herald in the festive season,” Mayor Barry Sammels said. “It is always amazing to see the park light up and we look forward to creating another attractive display that will be enjoyed by Rockingham families and visitors alike.”
 
Mayor Sammels encouraged the community to vote for their favourite decorated window along the Rockingham Foreshore as part of the Christmas Window Display competition. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Best Dressed Windows.  
 
People who vote for their favourite display have the chance to win a $100 voucher from Lovell Jewellers. Votes can be cast on the City’s website from 1 December.
