Applications are now open for the Act Belong Commit Festival of New Talent!

Now in its fourth year, this local competition is for talented young people aged 12-24 years who can sing or play an instrument in the categories of junior solo, senior solo, and group divisions, with original and cover song categories.
Contestants will perform in one of three heats taking place during September and October, with heat finalists going straight through to the Grand Final at the Secret Harbour Spring Market Fair on Sunday 18 October 2015. The heats are taking place at 12pm in the following locations:

  • Heat 1: Sunday 20 September 2015, Warnbro Shopping Centre
  • Heat 2: Sunday 4 October 2015, Secret Harbour Shopping Centre
  • Heat 3: Sunday 11 October 2015, Stockland Baldivis Shopping Centre

Winners of the competition receive a cash prize to help them with future career development, and further opportunities to perform in the local community, including the City’s two largest events – New Year’s Eve and Australia Day at the Rockingham Foreshore.
City of Rockingham Mayor, Barry Sammels, said this competition has been a springboard for local entertainers: We see a range of different young people coming forward each year and they are very professional.
“Being a part of a competition like this provides very valuable experience of preparation and performing for live audiences and it really is a fantastic opportunity for our aspiring entertainers.
“Thank you to Warnbro, Secret Harbour and Stockland Baldivis Shopping Centres and Healthway for their generous support of the Festival of New Talent 2015.”
